2027 OAPT Board Nominations

For this current term that starts January 1, 2027, Ohio APT will have 2 open positions that we are seeking nominations for passionate and dedicated play therapists to serve on our Board of Directors.

Whether you are a seasoned professional or newer to the field, your voice, perspective, and enthusiasm are valuable in shaping the future of play therapy in Ohio. Each officer is unique and carries different responsibilities, all very important to the growth of our organization. For this specific election, we are seeking two board members. 

Given the new by-laws issued by APT, nominations will not be for a specific officer position, but a general nomination to the Ohio Board. After election, specific positions will be decided within the board itself. 

Please take a few minutes to look over the general responsibilities of the Ohio APT Board below. 

You may nominate yourself or another person that you think would be able to actively serve for the next three years.

As a reminder, this is a volunteer position. 

• This three year term begins on 1/1/2027. 

• The person must be a member in good standing of OAPT, and being an RPT or RPT-S is preferred.

• Historically, the board will meet face to face at the spring conference (usually April/May) and fall conference (usually October/November) with monthly virtual meetings and frequent email communications and role specific tasks in between meetings.

*Board members cannot serve together if they are related in some way - this could be clinical supervisor/supervisee, work administrator and employee/contractor, familial relationships, etc. 

Please submit nominations between September 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026. 

Voting will begin October 23, 2026 and end October 28, 2026 at 11:59pm.
