  • Julia Copley

    Julia Copley is an LSC, LPCC-S, RPT-S™ in Medina, Ohio. Julia owns her practice, Core Counseling and Consulting. Julia is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Akron and teaches various graduate courses in the Counseling Department including, Introduction to Play Therapy. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, two dogs, and traveling.

     As President, she supervises and controls all business and affairs of the organization. She also completes or delegates other tasks that ensure the organization's growth.

  • Machen Champion

    Machen Champion is an LPCC-S, RPT-S™, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist and owns her practice, Wired to Bloom Therapy & Consulting, LLC, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Outside of work, Machen loves to read, play ultimate frisbee, and explore new restaurants.

    As Past President, she provides consultation to the Board as well as organizing Gold Branch requirements and Elections. Machen approves play therapy CEs for trainings in the state.

  • Kora Jones

    Kora Jones is an LISW-S and RPT™ in Rocky River, Ohio. She is a child and adolescent therapist at Powell’s Counseling and Consultation Services and provides psychotherapy to children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. Kora is trained in Playful EMDR and has completed an Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation with ISSTD. Outside of work, Kora enjoys dog trick training and making crochet items.

    As Vice President, she is learning about the national and state Association of Play Therapy in preparation for future presidency term.

  • Jodi Kohler

    Jodi Kohler is an LPCC-S, RPT-S™ in Central Ohio. She is the Clinical Director for Spirit of Peace Clinical Counseling. Jodi has offices in Delaware County, Franklin County and Morrow County. She works with children and families from 3 years old up and works with couples. 

    As Continuing Education Director, Jodi plans and coordinates annual conferences. She works with vendors, speakers, and attendees to ensure OAPT conferences run smoothly. 

  • Alex Sorrentino

    Alex Sorrentino is an LPCC, RPT™, and Professional School Counselor. She serves as the Supervisor of Mental Health in Hamilton City Schools.

    As Treasurer for OAPT, she develops budgets and tracks the organization's spending.

  • Kim Brown

    Kim Brown is an LISW-S, RPT-S™, CCTP-II. She contracts and has a small caseload of children and adolescents and is an adjunct for Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati teaching various graduate and undergraduate courses incorporating Play Therapy into courses and most recently taught Introduction to Play Therapy. Outside of work Kim enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  

    As Membership and Outreach Director, Kim supports Ohio APT members in building connections across the state and increasing member engagement. She also serves as the primary contact for OAPT members regarding membership benefits and renewals.

  • Joshua Manculich

    Josh Manculich is an LPC with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ohio University; he considers himself a humanistic therapist, stating, “We can best cope with life’s unique difficulties and challenges through the recognition of our personal strengths and attunement to purpose.” Firmly believing in the power of play across the lifespan, Josh proudly serves as a board member for the Ohio Association for Play Therapy.  He leans heavily into current research and supports the important science currently underway to strengthen the counseling profession.

    As Secretary, Joshua creates and sends the monthly newsletter, manages Ohio APT's social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram, oversees Ohio APT’s email account, and updates the website as needed. Joshua also organizes documentation of meeting minutes and other branch needs to keep Ohio APT organized.
